Curbing damage to Earth’s protective ozone layer is widely viewed as one of the most important things of modern life. Without the ozone layer in the atmosphere, life on Earth would be very difficult.
The ozone layer acts as an invisible shield and protects us from harmful ultraviolet (UV) radiation from the sun. If the ozone layer does not exist , plants cannot live and grow in heavy, nor can the planktons that serve as food for most of the ocean life. With a weakening of the Ozone Layer shield, humans would be more susceptible to skin cancer, cataracts and impaired immune systems. Those are the reason why everyone should join hands to preserve our invisible shield. Take Vietnam as an example, the government enacted some policies which have certain effect on improving environment such as re-green of barren hills, propaganda the importance of ozone layer to our planet and so on. Moreover, because of Covid-19, to keep safe or prevent the spread of disease, a numerous people choose to stay at home and that can reduce vehicle emissions.
From my point of view, it's time for the world come together and protect the ozone layer. I believe we can succeed because the Montreal Protocol is a positive proof that the Earth's nearly 200 countries can cooperate to avoid a world where ozone depletion would have occurred every year over Arctic and Antarctic.

Tầng ozone có vai trò đặc biệt quan trọng, giúp che chắn hành tinh của chúng ta khỏi những bức xạ nguy hiểm từ mặt trời, bảo vệ sự sống và môi trường trên trái đất. Nhưng vẫn rất cần mọi người trên khắp thế giới chung tay bởi chúng ta là 1.
Bằng chứng rõ ràng nhất khi đại dịch COVID-19 diễn ra, nhiều quốc gia đặc biệt là Việt Nam đã đi đầu thực hiện biện pháp cách ly và giãn cách xã hội. Điều đó không chỉ giúp hạn chế lây lan dịch bệnh mà còn gián tiếp giúp thu hẹp “lỗ thủng” tầng ozone.
Em mong rằng cộng đồng quốc tế sẽ cùng nhau thực hiện Công ước Vienna về bảo vệ tầng ozone, Nghị định thư Montreal về các chất làm suy giảm tầng ozone và Bản sửa đổi và bổ sung Kigali một cách mạnh mẽ hơn nữa như Việt Nam đã và đang làm vì hành tinh xanh của chúng ta.
